Athletics have always been a part of my life as I started playing competitive soccer at age 7 and later added on track & field in high school. I took a break from athletics in college until senior year when a friend took me to the CrossFit “club” in the campus rec center where I got a taste for the sport. In 2014, when that same friend and I became roommates after we graduated, we both joined a CrossFit gym, and the rest is history.
My passion for health, fitness, and education convinced me to become a CrossFit coach, and in 2017, I began my coaching journey.
I love CrossFit because not only has it given me everything I could ask for in a fitness routine (variety, competition, community, motivation), it’s the functional fitness approach that has allowed me to move my body in so many other ways outside of the gym, including running two half marathons, completing Spartan races, and being able to hike difficult trails and peaks. CrossFit is for everyone, and I’ve enjoyed seeing myself adjust my fitness through different seasons of life including pregnancy and postpartum.
Outside of CrossFit, I love running my nutrition coaching business, spending time with my husband and daughter, spending time outside, and reading.
